A birdhouse I designed and created with scraps and hand-tools.
The design was inspired by traditional Japanese joinery, using pieces of flat plywood and slots, to enable convenient disassembly and storage.
Circular hole and gaps to allow for circulation of air and entry of birds.
An acrylic window on it's roof to allow for sunlight while keeping rain out.
Angled and oversized roof to allow rain to fall off while preventing rain from entering the birdhouse.
